[Sheet music] "Ashita (Tomorrow)" for unaccompanied mixed chorus
A choral piece based on the masterpiece "Ashita (Tomorrow)" by children's story writer Niimi Nankichi!
Niimi Nankichi, a children's story writer from Aichi Prefecture in Japan, is famous for the fairy tale "Gon the little Fox," which has been included in elementary school Japanese textbooks for many years. Based on his hopeful poem "Ashita", a refreshing original mixed choral piece for a cappella has been born!
The piece is appealing in that it deliberately refrains from dynamics and technical elements to match the idyllic and gentle atmosphere of the words, and instead pursues beautiful melodies and a calm, harmonious sound.
Because it is written to make each word in the poem easy to understand, it is a great piece to include in a Japanese choral concert program. It is also recommended as an encore piece!
