About "Three Poems of Nankichi Niimi"

This is a choral suite composed by Yota Kato in 2023 at the request of "Chor-Amafok", a choir active mainly in Matsudo City. Each song is based on three poems "Akagitsune" (The Red Fox), "Biwa no hana no matsuri" (The Loquat Flower Festival) and "Kaigara" (The Shell) selected by the composer himself from the poems of Nankichi Niimi, a children's story writer from Aichi Prefecture, known for works such as "Gongitsune" (Gon, the Little Fox) and "Denden Mushi no Kanashimi" (The Sorrow of a Snail) .
